ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hello!

We are going to be changing our collection system for recyclables. We currently pick up your recyclables in 3 yrd, light-blue dumpsters, however we are going to replace them with 160 gallon carts which are twice the size of household carts. These carts can be moved around your school site to collect recyclables and placed at the curb side or in your enclosure on collection day.

We are switching our collection recepticles to carts to accomodate the high volume of recyclables school sites are generating. Our current collection system allows us to only offer once a week pick-up. Once we switch to the new cart collection system we can pick-up your recyclables more often as residential collection trucks will be near by in surrounding neighborhoods.

6 schools were recruited at the beginning of 2010 to participate in the new cart collection program. Since implementation, each participant has continued to thrive in recycling generation! Kudos to the 6 participating schools: Circle View Elementary, Marine View Elementary, Mesa View Elementary, Newland Elementary, Grace Lutheran Pre-School, and The Fountain Valley School District office.

Please give me a ring if you have any questions!

Hello!

My name is Rochelle Groh and I’m your Recycling Coordinator on behalf of
Rainbow Disposal. I would like to welcome you to the 2010-2011 Recycling School
year!

This site was developed to inform students and staff of their Recycling efforts on an up-to-date basis. Please take note of drop down window located on the top-left side of the page.  It will prompt you to choose a district. Once you choose a district, a second drop down window will appear prompting you to choose a school. Once you choose a school, you’ll be able to view your school’s personal profile.

On the right side of the page you will notice how many trees you’re saving and the number of pounds you're recycling each month. You will also find a link to our Recycling Game where one of our Recycling Rangers, Rachel or Rick, will help boost your recycling IQ!

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to let me know!

Your fellow Eco-Maniac,

 Rochelle Groh
